For the first time in many years as at January 2008 we have commissioned a new metal car badge as shown above. Unlike our previous badges which were relatively low cost pressed steel this one has been produced with no compromises in quality. Our 1970 badge, which was cast, weighed 180 grams and was chrome plated - high quality in its day. This one weighs 230 grams and is bright nickel plated, as were all cars before about 1932, for a very mellow effect. The coloured sections are glass enamel and the wings are genuine 3D laser machined - not pressed. The original BS wording has been replaced with the full 'Brooklands Society'. These badges are so good that the first member to buy one for his car came back and bought a second one to keep for best. Only 50 badges have been made so if you want one buy now before they run out.
Please note: these badges are only available to members - no dealers or speculators. If you are not a member or you have had a membership application rejected and your credit card is charged we will not issue a refund - but you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you have donated £55 to a good cause!
It is difficult to convey the sheer quality of this beautiful badge on a computer screen but you can view a larger size image on our main web site. |
